Cosmetics

Once while surfing the Net I found an interesting article about Korean cosmetics and its world popularity.
Well, as for my homeland, Korean food brands are much more popular than cosmetics, but still in some shops you can find any Asian cosmetics.

When I was in Korea I bought kilos of different shampoos, creams, nail polish, etc))

This post is not an add)) I just wanna share a photos of my favourite items)
As I noticed the most popular brands are Tony Moly, Innisfree, The Face Shop and Missha

By the way, why Missha is Missha?))) Do you know that it's popular male name in Russia?) affectionate diminutive from Mikhail)

An international conference to be held in St.-Petersburg, Russia

An International conference 러시아와 한국: 양국간 외교관계 근원을 찾아 주 러시아 대한제국 초대 공사 이범진 순국 100주년 기념 is organized by St.Petersburg State University, Russian Acccosiation of University Korean Studies and Korean Foundation. It will be held on August, 28-30.

Lee Bomjin is an extremely important figure in Korea-Russia bilateral relations in the end of 19  - the beginning of 20 cent.
Lee Bomjin  is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea in Russia.
Starting point for permanent Korean diplomatic mission in Russia is June 30, 1900 when a letter of credence was presented to Russian Emperor.

There is a commemorative tablet for  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary installed on his residence in St. Petersburg, Pestel Street, 5:
Lee Bom Jin is highly respected in Russia for his patriotic feelings. He supported his mother land in the hardest period of Japanese occupation and contributed all his money for the Korea's independence sake.

A chapter in my graduation thesis on Korea-Japan relations is devoted to this outstanding Korean diplomat !!~

Grand-granddaughter of Lee Bom Jin is now a member of diplomatic mission of Korea in Russia.

Zeit der Vergeltung

.... or Bedeviled by Chul-soo Jang is finally in Russia.
 Russian poster:
Firstly this film was presented Moscow International Film Festival this summer.
In my opinion it might be interesting for Russian public for several reasons:
- it's quite new name of film-makers (the most popular is still Kim Gidook)
- it's maybe the first Korean  movie of this genre that is n distribution in Russian cinema.
- Korean media culture is gaining popularity~~

NOVOSIBIRSK by Kim Kangsoo !!!

I share a link where you can see a program for Korean tourists who wanna go to my native city - Novosibirsk!!!

http://www.kbs.co.kr/1tv/sisa/walkworld/

http://www.netsko.com/693416

This is 47min video about some sights of Novosibirsk and its region - Berdsk, Koleuvan and a symbol of our city - Akadem Gorodok (A City of Science)

I think not  every "classic" sights for tourists were shown, but still I enjoyed the video))
But Novosibirsk seems not a 3rd largest city but a provincial town, in my opinion.

Particularly I was surprised at music in the video)) Dima Bilan who performed opening song is really one of the most popular singer in Russia and Russian singer abroad (after he won Eurovision). Two Alsou's songs was also used)
But J. Bieber  has nothing in common with Nsk)

I like the video and thanks Kim Kangsoo and his team for visiting Novosibirsk and making the video!!
