Daegu. Shopping and street fashion

One more post about one of my favourite city - Daegu.
I remember it as a relatively quite, friendly city comfortable for life. Maybe there are not a lot of places to go out..........

Hovewer, there are some great places for shopping there~

Daegu  lags behind Seoul and Busan in terms of shopping, but there are a lot of interesting items ~
Last year I noticed that men fashion in Korea differs from city to city. z.B. Seoul guys wear pants a la Lee Minho, 7/8 in Busan and shorts in Daegu )))

2011 IAAF World Championship is over.....

final results

It was bright exciting sport event that was watched by millions of sport fans from all over the world.

Next IAAF World Championship will be hold in 2 years in Russia (Moscow) - a silver winner of the championship!! Welcome~~

IAAF-2011, Sept.3 Triumph of Russian walking~

Today in a contest on 50 km race walk men Russian won 2 medals - gold went to Sergey Bakulin

and silver - to Denis Nizhegorodov!!!

Saransk School of race walking proved once again its status as the world best school~

One more Russian athlete from Saransk  - Olga Kaniskina, a queen of walk race won GOLD in 20 km race, women!!
Sergey Kirdyapkin's wife Anisia Kirdyapkina won bronze in 20 km race walk~ Unfortunately, S. Kirdyapkin got injured and couldn't finish(

Maria Abakumova won gold medal in Javelin Throw, women

Tatiana Chernova won gold in Heptathlon~~

2011 Daegu IAAF World Championship has started!

This year World Championship on the Queen of sport - Athletics -  is hold in Daegu!!))

My congratulations to Korea and Koreans for such a great sport success~~

Daegu Hello Kitty Shop

Daegu Stadium

I dream to visit this place once again. I like sport a lot, especially athletics))
This year, when Korea arranged a year of Daegu (because of IAAF World Championship and Asian song festival) and promoting Daegu as a tourist destination.

I think Daegu stadium will become as popular symbol of Daegu as Haeinsa Temple because of such sport events like IAAF World Championship and  FIFA World Cup held there in 2002.

There is a very picturesque and quite park near the stadium

 

 And even trash bin at bus stop reminds  about FIFA-2002))

When I came last year in Daegu I saw a huge banner in a city center:

I wish I can go there this year... T.T

My favourite places in Daegu

I post mainly about Daegu - city where I studied. I felt in love with Daegu)) There are a lot of places there which I want to visit one more time.... miss Daegu!!! ~~>.<~~

Well, one of the first places is ... Daiso!!!

This shop is located quite near to Kyungpook University, that's why we droped in it often))
Must notice, it's very cozy shop)) But what I like the most is cute stationary!!! (This topic deserves particular post!!))). It doesn't mean that I can't buy in my own city or somewhere else, but Korean stationary is unique))
I wanted to buy tons of pens, pencils, notes etc., but you know, my luggage is limited))))


The next is Family Mart)  To be honest, I have some personal reasons to distinguish this retailer)

Usually I bought samgak gimbab and aloe drink there.... nostalgia...~

PB Banana milk was tasty too))

It was not an add))) It's just my opinion and my favourite shops)
 

The most interesting place to visit (Daegu)

Daegu is edged by mountains. So, if you have a chance, try it!!
 It's not expensive, and the view is great!!
